Getting the Wheeling Fever
1990 Mits Monti LS, Crank with no turn over.
Checked forums past and present. Initially we had no Check engine light. When checking the fuel pump I just went ahead and replaced it, also replaced fuel filter while I was down there. Blew out fuel line to engine.
So to recap,
fuel pump, filter new
fuel line clean.
crank, crank no start.
Checked Neutral pos sensor, it was good.
crank crank, start with low idle. ran for a bit 7-10 min. Check engine light came on. Stopped engine.
crank crank no start.
Starting fluid.
crank crank, start with low idle. Check engine light came on rite away. Stopped engine.
I am going down to get the code read but I am leaning towards relay.
So, could a bad relay cause an intermittent starting issue with a check engine light, or does relay issue cause it to never start?

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Apparently...... it magically went away. I am sure it will come back as soon as I get far enough away from my house to need a tow. I cant ever recreate the check light for the shop.

Ignition coil? When mine went bad it was intermittent and would crank forever without firing up, then I'd try it a few hours later and it'd start right up. Seemed to depend on how damp it was outside. Never got a check engine light with mine but I'd assume that'd be possible. You mention low idle...maybe IAC motor? Any difference if you press the pedal while trying to start?

It is a burned ECU, two of the black rectangle thingies, bottom left (left of plugs).
