The 1994 turn signals do not work, but the emergency signals do. The book says they use the same flasher unit. So it's very puzzling why it not working. I've check the following;
bulbs,
turn signal switch (replaced with a working one),
the wire connections front and back (it had trailer wiring installed but I remove it during while looking for this problem),
fuses,
Anyone have any suggestions? I have another flasher unit in the 95 parts truck, but it's a PITA to get to as in the 94.

Have you checked the hazard switch? The FSM says: (p.54-63)
All L.H. or R.H. turn-signal lights do not illuminate. (1) Hazard light is fully operational -Check the turn signal light switch. (Refer to P.54-89, 90) -Check the Hazard light switch (Refer to P.54-86)

the turn signal cams on these trucks get kind of junky after about 10 years, I'd inspect that. Every '94 i've owned has needed one.
Edit; i guess you already swapped out the switch assembly?

After many hours of research and pulling and checking electrical parts I have found the problem. It was a *^^$#%$^ fuse. The fuse looked good and past the continuity test, but it had a small crack in it that open up when a load was put on it I guess. Who knows, but I'm happy.
On to the blinking light thing, sometime they flash sometime they don't. There're flashing now. It to will be in my past. May take a few hours though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> That's how things go when you get old.
