18" Rims, no way. 37" tires require a 17" rim, but they have the sidewall to support such a large rim. Those giant rims with no sidewalls on Land Rovers are ridiculous, that is for sports cars.

This is probably the biggest reason I'd suggest selling the 18" tires versus buying 18" rims... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
Now that said, there is an obvious difference in the load range but I suspect that has a lot to do with the 18's reduced sidewall height but perhaps someone more knowledgeable about tire design can chime in on that and what the real world impact would be between a C or E load range.

My first choice is to sell the 5 LR tires and rims to a LR person. That said, IF I don't move them, I'd rather use them. As far as the $, there really isn't much difference anymore. The Overland Expo is coming up, and there's alot of Rover folks there, I might just be able to sell them then... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I wouldn't run 18s for the sidewall deficit mentioned above, but there WERE genII pajeros that came stock with 18s. I'm speaking of course of the j-top convertible. 18" wheels and 529s, from the factory. But not a super low sidewall.
