This will blow your mind. I am out front pulling the ECU, dude walks up asks if its burned. I say yup, (just a little frustrated). He knocks on my screen about 10 mins ago with an ECU in hand and says "Merry Christmas". I just about cried!............ In a totally manly way, of coarse.

Be careful you might have a bad TPS and that is known to burn an IC in the computer. Installing the new one without replacing the TPS might have the same consequences.

I think it's the idle control servo that shorts out when it's disolved with solvent and burns out the ECU.

Not so much. ;-) Seriously though... Also read its the ISC that can take out an ECU on one of the ecu repair websites

Idle control servo?, is that the same as the idle air controller? Never herd of and ICS. If its the IAC then that would make sense.... Cuz I just replaced it... It was FUBAR.

There are many names because there isn't an industry standard one so different manufacturers call it different things. Idle Speed Controller = Idle Air Controller = ISC/ICS = IAC HTH...

Yah, Idle was off, replaced IAC, then stuff went haywire found bad ECU. So, I'll put in this new ECU and should correct the issues. Thank you all for the help.

Thank you all for the help. Before you replace the new ECU confirm the IAC is still good. The ECU repair places mentioned that a bad ecu can make the IAC go bad and vice versa. The procedure to check the IAC is in the FSM. I don't have access to mine right or I'd post the process here.
