Well I got the engine (block and head only)swapped over from the 97 to the 2000. Runs OK, it seems like its a little slow to rev up when taking off sometimes. I am also getting a couple of codes P0326 wich is the knock sensor. I ended up using the knock sensor from the 97 because the one from the 2000 fell apart when I removed the bolt attaching it to the block. They looked the same but there were no part numbers to verify. I havent had a chance to get to the parts store to verify if they are the same or not. Does anybody know? Also P0717 speed sensor A circut no signal. Im guessing the speed sensor may have come unplugged or the wire was damaged. Ill get it back on the lift tomorrow. We did remove the tranny to make it easier to get the engine wiring hooked back up easier. Any other ideas? Also the hold light is flashing and hitting the button does nothing. Im guessing it may be related to the speed sensor, but I dont know.p1624 is also showing but from what Ive read that is a generic code from either the ECM or TCM telling the CEL to light. If anybody has any other ideas Im all ears.

to me it kinda sounds like a possible ground issue...

Well it was a late night when we were buttoning everything up. Left a connector loose down on the tranny, left the knock sensor unhooked, was running good and then it died. I thought ok maybe the alternator took a dump, so I swapped in the spare, no dice. Did a little looking found a connector under the battery unhooked, apparently its from the alternator. Dang I knew I was tired but it just wasnt my night. Now the AC compressor isnt kicking on and the wiper fluid pump isnt working, both did before the swap, so Im guessing I have some more loose connections to hunt down. The good news is its running awesome now. Even with 30s its pulling like a mule.Does anybody have any idea what connectors to look for or where they may be at? I checked the connector coming off the compressor, and traced everything I could see going to the AC system and everything seems to be right. We didnt unhook anything pressureized on the AC, just the wires and the vacuum lines going to the cannister. Im wondering if Maybe I reconnected the vacuum lines incorrectly. Time to check the pictures I took.

Im gonna get the AC and fluid pump fixed and Im gonna put the stock wheels and tires back on, and use it as a daily. Im not gonna swap it to 4 wheel drive as originally planned. I found a nice purple 2000 4x4 auto needing a head for $500. I just happen to have one on hand, so the sickness begins.

All right this is aggravating. Yesterday the windows were fine now they arent working. I checked the fuse under the dash its fine. I need to check it for power yet but its getting ugly outside so Im gonna wait a bit. Im not sure where the relay for the windows is. Anybody know if its under the dash or under the hood?
As for the AC my buddy helped me take everything apart so I may be missing something. Im not sure if its a connector thats not hooked or as mentioned above a ground issue. How many grounds are there on these little things and where are they? I checked the one going from the intake to the I think the body toward the back of the battery it. I only unhooked it from the intake originally and it is clean and tight on both ends. Does anybody know which of the main harness plugs have the AC stuff going through it? Any help would be appreciated. I was hoping to take a trip to PA next week in it and its not looking good.
