Body Damage is Cool
I was trying to find on here the other day and could not find it. the article where California was testing rollover and took a gen1 4 door and hooked it up so at 70mph it would disconnect and yank the wheel. Does anybody have that video?

I remember which one you are talking about, but could not find it either. I did find these, which I haven't seen before.

Not sure about California, but there was one they did in Utah using. Gen 1 4-door.

Got it. having the right state made it easy. I kept thinking it was California. Here it is:

It still pisses me off that a perfectly good montero was trashed for the sake of "research". There are a slew of blazers, bronco II's ,troopers, heeps & lets not forget explorers that would have excelled at this roll over test.

Being Calif###ya, they shopped for the boxiest most dangerous looking truck on the lot. Sadly our trucks fit the "look" But with my sway bars connected mine is as planted as a subaru... If you yank any car at 70 bad sh*t will happen. Gotta love those asshats doing studies to make it look like the idiots aren't the ones at fault for not knowing how to control a vehicle... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />

Actually in the video they said "This is what happens when you turn really hard at 75mph. Don't do that." I hate to see a Montero all busted up for "science" but at least they learned something from it.
