Need a Spot
Does anyone know of a shop in or near Sacramento that will boil out a rusty truck gas tank ?

Personally, I dump gas tanks when rust becomes an issue. BTDT -- stranded on the trail with plenty of gas, working fuel pump; but, rusty tank clogging the fuel filter. Then there was the time when rather than denting when hitting the rock, the tank sprung a leak. Yep, rust spot = weak spot.

That said the motorcycle gearheads do have a process, including paint, that will clean and seal a rusty tank. But, that was 15 plus years ago.

Again, personally, I would replace the rusty tank.
