Dang it, I sent all that stuff with the other motor, I have my power steering pump, alternator, tps, iac, and most of the other parts but I guess I need to find another 2000 and take the intake and throttle body in order to make mine run.

Wow, that sucks. Check your local U pull it yards. Theres seven Sportys in the one near me. They tend to get scrapped when the engines go around here. The intake should still be good though, there not much to go wrong with them. If you have to buy the parts I think youll be able to get away with using your throttlebody and the runners underneath the injection part. You will have to get the injector part and probably the first section where the MASS air flow is.
If I may offer a piece of advice for next time. When you do one of these types of projects keep the parts donor until you are 100% up and running and then keep it for a few weeks longer. Stuff breaks, often right after you have taken it apart and put it back together. I did my transplant several weeks ago and the donor is still sitting out there and Im still pulling parts off of it. I pulled the wiper fluid motor off cause mine just quit workin. I thought I was going to need the AC compressor cause mine fried, but luckily it was just a short in the clutch wire. My rear window switch needs replaced but the donor one works. Hopefully once I get the window switch swapped Ill be out of the woods and nothing else will go wrong.

Do I have to make sure it is the same as mine? 5 speed and everything? Or will one with an automatic tranny work?

Do I have to make sure it is the same as mine? 5 speed and everything? Or will one with an automatic tranny work? It must be the same model, the autos have a tcm control in the ecu. it will retard the timing every time it thinks you should shift and other annoying problems...

well the one I got was from an auto tranny, Do I have to get the brain from the vehicle I got the engine from or will the brain in my sporty work. I am using my ecm with this intake and mine is a manual tranny.

Bingo, before you go swapping ECUs you need to get the right year injection. At least 1998 or newer, but I would try to get a 2000 just to make sure.
DO NOT switch your ECU for the one from the donor car, it will screw with everything else in your car! First find the right injection system for your vehicle. Until you have it straightened around you wont know what else is going on. Do not worry about the ECU right now unless you know it is fried.
Can you not get your intake back?

no, I cant get mine back. I got one from a 99, I got the whole intake and jets and tps, iac and throttle body. I am having my mechanic put it all on, and make it run so I can sell it.
