On a downhill slope mine held the rear (barn) door open about 1/2 way instead of allowing it to close..... but sometimes the angle had more to do with it that the stop ....it had to be pretty steep for it to engage.....not sure an upgrade from one gen to the other would help that much.....that's the Calif view - the boys in Az don't know what a hill is <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> so maybe someone else can chime in.....
