Smoke testing would work if I could find a source of smoke that didn't make it smell like a rib factory or an ashtray for the next two years! LOL! Just sayin' There's something that covers this description in WA and CO now...

Where can I find a bunch of stoners... Based on a 60's trip thru that area with some Cherokee relatives, the rez might be a good place to start. Got a dog? Use the pressurized method with some fresh cooked bacon inside and let the dog sniff around the car...

Smoke would be best and the most advanced - but if you can pressurize the inside with a reversed vacuum then spray the outside area you suspect with soapy spray to see where the bubbles enlarge. Then trace down with a spray bottle that you can squirt directionally. Before smoke this was the next best thing.....sometimes the blower motor would be strong enough pulling in the outside air but these rigs need a lot of air flow to pressurize.....

Got three dogs and they love bacon drippings on their food so that might work. Although they are awfully lazy!
Never thought about soap and water, just like checking for a leak on a newly installed gas line. I really might give this a try! I am going to go over it and look at everything again in case I'm missing the obvious. Hopefully I'll get time this weekend...

FORGOT - FORGOT - FORGOT - sorry - thought of it as I was driving around - painters tape is your friend - tape the seal areas away from the area you are testing so you will have less air volume loss and it will center the air to your area of concern.....

Well, I ordered one of those cheap USB inspection cameras to help out. I will probably wait until that comes in to really tackle this. I need a new windshield anyway so I think I'll get that out this week and get a new one put in. I'll check the pinch weld while I'm at it.

So I was poking around yesterday and found out there is water coming in on the floorboard on the passengers side too! Still have no idea where it's coming from! I am going to pull the dash out and start from there...it probably needs all cleaned and tightened anyway...

So...Finally got back to my leak after working on my pond for several months! Still no luck! Used smoke and sealed it off but not productive since smoke comes out the doors, door seals, you name it! Tried blowing it with air again and using soapy water...no luck either! Ran water out the end of the hose. Cannot make it leak on purpose! I pulled the roof rack and painted it and sealed the screws and the inserts, just in case! Haven't had rain in a while! So I've tried an oscillating sprinkler but nothing yet. Plan now? Paint the floor with undercoating/bedliner and call it good. If it leaks I will just dry it out! It's aggravating me to no end.....
