Are your shift points at factory settings or are you just wanting to shorten them or make it down shift sooner when on an incline? As for the side steps, get some Toyota sliders and get some grips on them so none of the kids or wife slide across it. It'll serve dually as a step and protection. Have fun cleaning off the double sided tape. I also eventually took off the large side decal on the lower half of the doors.
