Old Man Emu OME rear shocks and rear springs install along with a tbar crank t-bar crank for the fronts. I'm doubling up on the spelling there in attempt to help future people trying to search for this topic. I count not really find much info on it. I do suck at searching though...

I purchased the OME rear shocks and springs from Rocky-Road.com. I purchased the standard rate springs after talking to them about it. My main goal for this was to eliminate the rear end droop when towing our camper. They said the heavy duty rate springs would be overkill.

The 1.25" lift was a little bonus. I'm putting 33's on in a couple weeks and I'm hoping the little lift will compliment these well. We'll see and report back.

The install was very easy:

-Measure each corner.
-Jack up rear of truck. I used the pumpkin.
-Secure with jackstands on frame. Make sure the rear suspension is independent of the jackstands.
-Remove rear wheels
-Unbolt sway bar. One 14mm nut on each side.
-Unbolt shock. Two 14mm nuts on the top and one 24mm nut on the bottom or each shock.
-On passenger side, unbolt the 24mm nut on the cross bar.
-Lower jack (pumpkin and suspension will lower) BE CAREFUL OF THE SINGLE BRAKE LINE NEAR THE CENTER OF THE PUMPKIN. This brake line is tough, but you don't want to yank or stretch it.
-Pull out spings
-Clean stuff

Reverse the process and install the new OME parts. The OME shocks have a 17mm nut on top instead of 2 14mm.

Below are the pictures of the old and new shocks/springs. You can see that my old shocks were shot. I'm looking forward to the new improved ride quality! Also notice that the OME springs are the same height as OEM but have an extra coil. OEM has 7 compared to 8 on the OME.
