You can make almost any engine "fit", it's only a question of how much work you want to do to get it in there. Any engine swap is going to require wiring and plumbing at the very least, and most will require some amount of fabrication. One of the most common Gen I swaps is the 2.6 turbo from a Starion/Conquest, although I don't recall ever seeing a LWB being converted to turbo like that. The AZ Crew has installed a Mitsu 2.4 in a Gen II truggy, as well as installing a 3.5 V6 in a Gen I SWB - there are build threads for both projects on this forum.
