That's the stuff you need - Dextron works also but the SPIII is what's recommended by Mitsubishi. Fill 'r up!

so i need mirrors. I kind of like the big " elephant ear" mirrors however I wouldn't mind smaller japanese like ones either. I cant seem to find these types of replacement mirrors anywhere. Old school all chrome and three whole mount. The install job is a bit shady but I imagine I can find little eplug for the holes if I find different replacement mirrors - please feel free to chime in or if anyone has OEM units for sale hit me up. I think the kind that are a bit forward and on the fener or hood, seem pretty cool to, i've seen alot of older japanese SUVs with them that way.

I like the factory roof rack in the first one. To bad mine flew off my truck on the freeway. Now its somebody elses <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />.

The LWB's had some nice big mirrors

sooo i get home from being at lake powell for a week and find a big (10" circular) puddle of ATF under my car. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I'll have to look at it tomorrow during the day time but total bummer. I have two theories about this. the gasket is rubber not paper like the original. perhaps I didnt tighten it enough or I tightned it too much? To be honest I would think it would be on the "not tightened enough side. I drove it all over for a few days before leaving with no leaks what so ever. Im thinking if tightening it a bit doesn't work I'll remove and replace with the factory overpriced paper gasket and tighten to spec. Im hoping if I get it just snug it will perhaps help. It was really laxed on the amount of torque I put on it.

total bummer if I have to remove and replace but now I feel pretty good about how quickly i could do it if needed. probably in 2 hours 3 hours tops. The heat is the worse part. does the truck sitting for a week with a fairly new gasket in terrible weather do anything? I'll keep you guys posted.

that sucks to hear man i know your pain but in knowing your pain i will tell you a little bit of atf will make a big puddle.

If you do end up having to take the pan back off, check it for signs of having been overtightened in the past. Sometimes the bolt holes will show where the pan is slightly distorted.
