I'm alive. Barely. Been working a bunch both photo and the lab, regardless. Still have the 91 monty. Runs great BUT same ol leak int the transgasket <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. Since my last post I've changed it twice. Once with the crappy NAPA gasket and once with the OEM 37$ mitsu gasket. Both leaked. Certainly feel good about my install but maybe I shouldn't since its leaked both times. Still leaks. My next plan is to try the RTV. Chrysler uses some stuff that is supposed to be pretty good. I just have never worked with RTV before so will have to research it properly or get some help from a mechanic friend. I figure it must be something with the way the pan fits. Perhaps the previous owner had over tighten them when they put it on. Who knows. I've gotten really fast at taking all of it apart.

I'll be honest I would like to keep the truck as its just pretty badass and the more I think about the Gen 2 I just don't know If I could commit to one when the the Gen 3 is not much more on the used market, I like the Gen 3 (not the sport) . . It would still be less expensive in my eyes to get a new trans for this than getting a newer one. And the newer ones don't give me the NATO / UN vibe this one does. I don't have to baby it where a new one I would be concerned. Still a lot I would like to do and it looks like I will be getting some time now in the for-see-able future to get on with it. So anyhow , Hello again and when is the next meet. COunt me in. Leaking or not.
