I not sure if this is a fun retort, or not. I supply the reference for more than the obvious to US gearheads about your locale.

The Chevy 350 that Richard wants to run (to me) is not a good fit in the Gen I Montero engine bay due to length of engine, wrong placement of the distributor, and other minutiae. The Ford small block has a front mount dizzy, block length is several inches shorter and leaves more room for ancillary / accessory components.

None taken, haha, i made a joke about gasoline a few posts up. its a great movie, and I always make reference to the "tough" highway drives. I would almost perfer it. make those long drives more lively.

as for the v8 a guy here dropped a new ls1 in, but all electronic so it must fit better.

I jsut needed the diesel so Ican always get going and easy to fix.
