I'm not sure it would look good all 1 colour, i think I will keep the ally its normal colour. jsut the ute body I am going to paint.

A little more done today, but some of my tools have gone walk-about... i know where they are and why they are there... but they shouldnt be there anymore... ugghhh i need a lock on my garage.

dropped the fuel tank, Will do a full inspection for cracks to see how it is holding up as some of the welds on install were questionable for me. its also a [censored] to drop by yourself. Also removed the rear cut springs and will remove the axle once my air tools are back home too.

And I got one door cut to size, well close, the outer sheet is still to long but I will wait to cut that once I have stripped more from the back half for corners so there is no mistakes.

I picked up a foxwing awning for the rig recently. I used to have jsut a square type side awning now I will have one that wraps around the vehicle for better shade coverage.

[Linked Image]

Size: the old awning was jsut a 2.5M long by 2M out from the rig

Link for more info:

Got mine form a mate with the sand bags, side walls, screens and some other gear. Will be nice to have shade all day without having to move the rig around.

The cool thing I will add is that you can push the outter legs higher than the part closest to the car and it has a drain system with a funnel so you can catch rain water from that huge surface and refill your water tanks. which for where I end up is a great thing. cause if it rains I may be stuck for a few days.

Well, I have begun to make some progress. its a little slow. but it will get there. a lot of thinking in between jobs on how to make it look as factory as possible.

Started by tacking welding the rear panel in place, along with the 3mm flat bar that holds it all in place The bottom corner will be filled with plate when I get some.

I cut a section out of the old rear end and tacked it into place to set the corner. I am really trying to follow the factory lines. will require a bit of extra work, as the angle goes up to steep

Following the lines:

I figure I am going to start at the roof instead of the floor, the angles will be much easier to deal with. straight edge for the back of the cab:

Thats what I saw at first glance. Got me thinking... a lunch truck out on the trails would be awesome.

In all honesty... I like what you got going.

Jeez, I left you guys hanging. basically, I moved out of my rental and into a mates place and purchased a 40' container to work out of. here is an update of where I am at. plus just picked up a spare parts pajero yesterday.

had a good weekend, got electrical put in and everything has a home, well most of it.

All righty gentlemen, that is it, setup. now I have to get involved in a wedding for the next week or 2 then back into it. but dont worry its not me getting married. haahaha

Started sanding the corners down. a few bits will need a thin layer of filler, but warpage is really hard to avoid welding 0.9mm steel. I am quite happy with the look so far.

[Linked Image]

its also hot as hell out here, pushing 40's so due to fire bans and what not there will be a bit of a lack of updates. áas you can see the can is not overly shaded. haha

[Linked Image]

Bought a parts pajero today. diesel 5 speed. shes a donor for both my pajeros. its a shame to take her off the road, but she will keep two girls rolling for years.

I was looking at the photochop and the original. Have you thought about extending the wheel base to give you the length while improving the departure angle?

it will kill my ramp over angle and seeing as most of the hard offroad I do seems to be in sand I want to avoid dragging frame.

with all the lift and setup, I'd recon the angles of approach are nearing 45-47* front and 40 rear? to be honest.
