I made this for a friend's SWB, also wanted to test out my new picture hosting site. I've had this FTP for a few years and thanks to ClayTK made it more usefull. Works pretty good.

Anyway, It's for a Gen 1 So i didn't add a spot for safety chains because they hook right to the frame on a Gen 1 (or at least that's how i do it.

The hitch plate is 1/2"? What kind of load do you anticipate?

I killed a similar Conferr unit hauling 150 gallons of water over some slow speeds whoops on a project with my 4' x 6' water trailer. The bend in the plate should greatly increase the vertical load stiffness over the flat Conferr piece.

I had no surviving hitch until I put this on:

Looks awesome! Nicer than some of the commercially available pieces I've seen.

Very nice. Similar to the one sandhillraider made for me. My question is where on the frame are you hooking on to?

I used a Miller XMT350 and 71M wire, I didn't like the aftermarket deals either. I made it heavy because i figured why not, had the plate and stuff laying around and Wrenchwench gave me the actual reciever part.

On the Gen 1 there is a loop on the frame to hook your chains to it's right next to the hitch mounting point. Gen 2's don't have it and i'm not sure about Gen 1 LWB's.

Oh I thought that was a pull point not meant to be used for towing.

LWB gen1s also have the tow hook loop if it really matters. Id definitely shell out for a beefy one for sure!
