Body Damage is Cool
Johnny, the pictures don't do it justice. I was sitting at the house one Saturday, and I heard an interesting exhaust tone go past my house in the cul-de-sac. I was in fact, surfing the wire. Then one of the boys start to head out the front door, I look out and there sits this out in front of the house. I had sold him a rearend a while back, so he knew where I lived. Nonchalantly I tell my better half, "now there's something you don't see everyday". I got to take a ride in it, I definitely am.done with naturally aspirated 4 cylinders. Between my 3.0 & driving his turbo 2.6, well, just thru with them. It looks great, AC was kicking in it, just a great looking and performing ride out on it's maiden voyage. 100+ miles away from home to boot.

I desire to make my MM handle better, make a road racer type out of it. The pics look great! Curious about the MAF? I've seen them mounted before the turbo, but not after.

It's a GM maf ran in "blow threw". Controlled by either a MAF Translator or perhaps something super cool like ECMLink. Do tell!

MAF Translator. If I had to do it again I would do megasquirt or another stand alone. With the MAF-t I can dial in kind of close to the right a/f ratio but lets remember how old this tech is, I mean it is TBI for F's sake. Did the blow threw after both a failed dsm and starion maf. Figured might as well do it right and have some control over the fuel system, even if limited.

Right now I am replacing the rear axle inner seals and tightening the preload on diff. It had a whine on decel and accel so hopefully this works, I can always turn the stereo up.

Thanks for the compliments. Truck is getting better and better. I finally found a good steering box and can now break the speed limit with out fearing for my life more than a ticket.
BTW. there is a 89 swb 2.6 5 speed in the daytona lcq. It is missing the radiator, steering box, tail lights, front light bezels but does have a nice dark interior and most of a weber carb(missing electric choke i think)

Cool! I've used MAFT's on a couple of my cars in the past. They were OK. Click click click lol.

Are you planning to go to the Florida meet at Hardrock in October?
