Getting the Wheeling Fever

Well, I finally got around to fixing the flashing 4x4 lights; I checked the resistance and one solenoid was normal (45 Ohms) and one was way off, at 160 Ohms.
Got that fixed and the next day I had my check engine light come on for O2 sensor and a stored P0420 (Catalytic Converter) codes. I replaced the O2 sensor (we will see if the Cat conv code comes back) and while I was under there I noticed the transmission bushings (pretty sure thats what they are) are really worn (one is almost completely worn away on the outside, the other looks like it is ok but still worn.)
Any one had this problem? Any advice on where to get the parts?
TLDR: replaced O2 sensor and freewheel solenoid, discovered broken transmission bushings and need advice on replacing them

Are you referring to the transmission mount or some other bushings? If it's the mount, it's fairly easy to replace - just support the transmission with a floor jack, unbolt the crossmember from the frame, unbolt the mount from the transmission and drop the crossmember out. Install the new transmission mount and reinstall the crossmember.

Like Ryan said, if it's the mount at the rear of the transmission, I got mine at Rock Auto. Part numbers below are for OEM parts for my '95 SR.
There are supposed to be four "roll-stopper" cushions, kind of like washers, that sandwich in the two bolts. Not sure if those would need replacing as well, as I haven't installed my new one yet. I don't think they do, but their part number is MB932076.
The mount itself is part number MB951304 and it includes the two cushioned mounts in a small section that bolts up to the crossmember and then the transmission bolts to it. If that makes sense.

Yea, I am pretty sure its the transmission mount bushings. Heres a (bad) pic or 2! I'm still getting used to 4x4 undercarriages, they look really busy compared to the 2wd stuff i'm used to haha. ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/I7K7sf2l.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/WmnWYL3l.jpg) Side note, I went to check out Chiva falls today since there was a big thunderstorm on the east side of Tucson! First time going 4x4ing, so probably not the wisest trail choice for a newbie and also not the best idea to go alone Oh well. Still had fun! I hit the sliders and a skid plate once or twice but didn't hurt anything precious! Heres me being scared of the part of the trail near "the crack": ![[Linked Image]](https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/943310_10201470967522671_1492090434_n.jpg) And we found some puddles!! ![[Linked Image]](https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1045239_10201470964482595_519234731_n.jpg)

That's the mount.
And, excellent wheeling! That's what they're made for.

sweet, thanks guys. got the part ordered, I just got the whole mount as a unit. I can't see how that would hurt much if I left it as is, but it would bug me
yea it was a fun trip...I need to remember to bring my 12 volt compressor and stuff next time. saw a Cherokee (stock) rolling around on his donut spare

I love puddles!! The puppy is my girlfreinds and is some fluffy cross breed that unfortunately doesn't involve poodles...I wish it did, she might be a bit smarter with some poodle blood!

Not sure where to post this so what the heck, I'll clutter up one of my threads. http://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/3923950917.htmlIf anyone wants something from it let me know; looks like an SR from the pics and I'm wondering if I should go and see how the interior looks. Blown motor, but could be other goodies worth stealing!
