Can someone tell me which side is the inlet or outlet on a 96 for the coolant going to the heater core? LOL

I don't think it makes a difference which way they're connected - it's just a loop and should be able to flow either direction without a problem.

stand by and I'll check the fsm. If you can see the valve, it's on the inlet line. On a gen1 the inlet linve and valve can be seen from the dside footwell. I'm lookin'...

(edit): It doesn't have a valve. Either will do, but I'd guess the inlet is the dside.tt

I need to know which is normally the outlet to tap into for the shower set up. Normally I just disconnect a hose and crank the engine...but that is not happening.

Oh, that makes it simple. Disco the hoses and crank the engine. Water will flow from the input hose...
