Maybe I am in the minority by wanting a nice modern SUV for daily driving and overlanding. I prefer overlanding because it better suits my personal and family goals. That being said I have done my fair share of rock crawling over the years and have many good memories, but it is not as family or budget friendly.


Not to bash but a G-class is not modern at all much like the JK, old tech on a new truck at a premium price. Second the current Montero, JK and G-class are not budget friendly like their roots. Auto makers just know they can rape us because we're dumb, "here have this old 70's technology with a new body but pay the new tech price".
Obviously that's not the case with Mitsubishi unfortunately because even if they sold a new Montero based on the old 80's-90's stuff for 70k I could still buy one a year or 2 after it's original sale for 10-15k <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
