I just got my Starion running driving registered and inspected this weekend. I now have 3 Mitsubishi's and they are all running, which has me at a spot where I am not sure what to drive anymore. But I feel this is a good way to do it (Plus 3 bikes that have not moved an inch all summer). Starion for all things city and highway. Montero for lugging around the heavy bits and trailer work. Raider for all things outdoor living and pulling out stuck friends. How does everyone else handle the multi vehicle problem? Newly running 87 Starion Montero and Raider ![[Linked Image]](https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/735016_10152366610835643_233360059_n.jpg) Just rebuilt the fiance's 99 Forester and went in the woods with it an hour after reinstalling the motor. ![[Linked Image]](https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/q71/s720x720/1003409_10153005311550643_1866871496_n.jpg)

With Avis, I don't decide which car I drive when I'm traveling - there's already one in a parking spot with my name on it! As far as my personal vehicles, I dunno... it's just like trying to decide which watch you wear or what kind of shoes you put on that morning. lol It's really my mood - My mitsubishi is the only vehicle that's automatic, and sometimes I just want to jump in the slushbox and drive to work.. other days I got too much sleep and have to loose the ceiling in the convertible. I have to admit that driving stick shift in bumper to bumper traffic in a 300HP car can really piss me off. It's not uncommon for me to change cars throughout the day - I live in a very central location now, and now that I haven't been traveling as much I'm just trying to enjoy the area again. Missing the Dodge in this picture - It's parked at my old house while it's being sold so it looks like someone's living there. ![[Linked Image]](http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af292/bmccaffery/Greenville-20130704-00270_zps88f7fc72.jpg)

"If you are gonna own Mitsus, you gotta have at least two. In this way, you *may* be able to have one to drive to work." -me
That's what I told my wife 10 years ago. I really like Mitsus. I have the GalantVR4 for daily driving and toy/drag racing, then the Montero for daily driving, towing, camping, and toy/trail riding. It's a great combo. Right now my Galant is broke, so the Montero handles 100% of the duty.
Our 3rd car is a 2007 Prius touring edition. I know I know, but it's a really cool car for it's purpose. My wife drives about 400 miles per week at 50+mpg. Saves a lot of money. We're going to Michigan next month. We'll be able to drive the entire family from Florida to Michigan and back for about $196. That's $1000 cheaper than air tickets AND we can bring the dog!
Congrats on having all of your Mitsus running at the same time!

couldn't last long, Raider stuck in traffic in the heat wave last week and being the radiator is blocked up the gauge kept climbing... head gasket breached and now the engine is being held on with 1 bolt and the 3.5 SR motor is waiting to transfer flywheel over.

I'm operating two right now. An 89 V-6 5SPD, 88 2.6 5SPD, and a 87 that's getting a 3.5 from a 94SR.

I had four different makes at once for a few years - all used. I got tired of the constant maintenance. Down to three now which works good if one needs work as my wife commutes and needs her's every day. The Montero is mostly parked and driven once per week to keep it loose, but used for long trips.

Sometimes I prefer the constant maintenance over the constant car payments. It's just a question of whether or not you pay someone else to do the constant maintenance or do it yourself. I find it costs the same for me to do it all myself anyway since I end up improving something or going overkill so I don't have to do the next thing later while I'm in there.

If you can do the work you self, maintenance beats payments any time. 99 Montero, wheeling, exploring and going fast off road. 02 Jetta TDI, for wife's commute and running errands. 03 Ram 2500 Cummins, work and other chores.
Having three is just right one can be down for days waiting on parts or what not and life can go on as usual.
99 Montero....15mpg! Sold (so sad) 02 Jetta TDI....48mpg! 03 2500 Ram QCLB Cummins....18mpg 02 2500 Yukon XL, We out grew the montero, at least it has one locker.....13mpg (sold) 01 montero limited
