I keep maintenance on them all by having at least 2 running at one time. I also look for indicators of problems and schedule future "proactive" repairs. I replace parts before they fail.

I just removed my red trucks motor because I noticed the head gaskets starting to fail, and drove the truck into my garage and ripped the running motor out.
