My hub from tuffpans blew up the case split/fractured. I am running skinny 33's not much traction caused forces involved. I new they were from china but seemed like they were the only option. AVM are the same as Rugged Ridge, is that right? Those have been tested with out much success. I do not want to spend more money on hubs that aren't going to last. Should I find a pair of Aisins and pay the high price for those. Are there other options?

Thanks

My solution was to get a pair of Aisins. Still out the price of these Chinese models.

Ouch. Sorry to see that. Can't trust Chinese quality, not in anything, it's really that simple. I don't care who's selling them.

I'm currently in Asia. Bringing a replacement pair back for him.

Don't know about that... Chinese food's pretty good. So are iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc.

"I think" you meant to say you don't trust 'cheap' (not same as inexpensive IMHO), low quality Chinese goods.

Edit: Sorry had to cut my post short earlier since I'm at work.
Anyhow, I'm definitely with you if that's what you meant. Plus their labor practices make it extremely unfair to manufacturers in the US where humane working conditions are expected.

As for quality products, HP, IBM, Apple, etc have shown that it's possible to make decent quality products in China... albeit at what human cost (in Apple's case extremely high stress/poor working conditions, etc.).
