We will be setting out of Arizona really early morning Sunday the 1st of sept. We will have a long drive sunday but I think it should be doable.

Here is the plan:

We will have sept 1st: Meeting at a camp near the start of the rubicon in the evening

2nd: 1st half of the Rubicon to Buck Island

3rd: Finish Rubicon, find camp

4th: Refuel in South Lake Tahoe, lazy day through Yosemite heading to Shaver lake to setup camp

5th: Leave Shaver lake and start day 1 of Dusy/Irsham Trail from trail head to Thompson Lake

6th: Leave Thompson Lake and make our way down to Irsham Lake

7th: Leave Irsham Lake and continue on out of Dusy and head to shaver lake to camp out for the night.

8th: Leave Shaver Lake and head to Coyote Lake and camp

9th: Leave Coyote Lake and head to Mirror/Strawberry Lake and camp.

10th: Possible rest day or run one more short trail or get an early start home

11th Head home

Pm me for my number if you are interested in going to go over any more details. Or post up and let me know if you are interested in coming along.

Anyone who needs a side trip, the Ranch has been relocated about 160 miles north of the Georgetown end of the Rubicon.

A side trip to check out the montero ranch would be cool, but a 320 mile round trip out of our way would be hard to do.

I agree, it is a very valid point. Lets hope it doesn't come to that if we are all the way down in the southern part during Dusy/Ershim. Than we are very far, like 600 miles round trip or something like that. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

So are you all set to go Ray? Are you still into to meet up day 1?
