Have been working like a dog at work since I was out for the first week in August. Am working on it all through the weekend. Good news is it did shift into OD the other day but just once, so my theory is when it ran low on transmission fluid, it probably overheated killing the existing fluid which has thus prevented it from shifting into OD.

My plan is to flush out the old fluid and put in all new fluid and also do a full cooling system flush this weekend then see how she runs. If she still does not run right, then I'll swap in a temp sensor/sender. If that doesn't work... then I don't know. Will probably need to look at repairing/replacing the transmission <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> and if that's required then unfortunately, I'm out this year. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

Somebody did a great write-up on fluid change in the SR transmission; was it Jay Ayala? Can't remember. And obviously, don't search.

Just got home from doing the dusy with these guys and I got to say we had a great time!
It was nice to see new and old friends and like always the 4x4wire community is awesome!

I'll try to upload a few pics later and I'm sure the az crew will have a full report when they get back home.

It was nice to finally finished the dusy after 2 fail attempts in the past.
