Your 97 has the SOHC 3.5L, the 96 has the DOHC 3.5 L. So get the 98 manual. The gearing are the same on the 97 and 98 also.

While you are at it get the parts program ( ASA). Using it you can see what the differents are between all the models, as far as parts go.




Really get the ASA, I am on a few forums and tell people about it all the time, they never listen. It will save you so much time to have the OEM part numbers handy. Since this is done by VIN so you see parts for your car and options for it.


I will Give it a try. I dont have a windows machine, linux only but i do have a windows box at work. I will see if i can install it there
