So only the v6's have the access port? That sucks if you need to access the top of the tank... The only thing the access port is good for is getting to the fuel pump. Not big enough for anything else. So if the pump isn't on top, no need for the port...

Longest it's ever sat to my knowledge was maybe 6 months while I procrastinated on the engine swap....and even then I drained the tank below pickup level by shorting my electric pump (I was already FI before I swapped to a turbo block). Previous 2 owners drove it regularly back the past 10 years or so.
Looks like we have another dry day tomorrow so maybe I'll dig in after work.
