Gave him a call to see what was going on with this one. A long story with the jist of it being the motor is gone. Some guy tried to sell him a $300 motor and turned in his existing one as a core. The $300 one was worthless and wore out.

I was like well can't really test any of the other parts with no motor so 1500 is completely out of the question don't you think. The response was well it can sit there forever it don't bother me.

So there it will set till he is gone(or it starts bothering him) and the tow truck comes to take it to the crusher.

Shame I got a 87 with the motor in it that supposedly works that would fit nicely in that shell. The one its in now is a little rough.

Do a searchtempest on raider montero using 30022 zip and 300mi range, and you'll find a late gen1 4dr for 800, running and smoking, and it's clean.

I was not mean or Smartelicy. Just kind of said I can give you a little money for it, but without a motor just is not worth very much. He sounded like an older guy. It's hard to convince someone what a vehicle in this condition is worth after they have spent hundreds or even thousands on it already trying to get it to run.

Might call him after the CL ad expires and see if he wants it out of his yard.

I have a plan for it. Same plan I had for the other 87 I have. Turbine wheels and 33's with a fresh paint job. There is a pic of one on the forum setup like that it looks very cool.

I like my pic, too. Thanks. I'll give you an 86 SWB if you come get it.

I'd offer $500 for the one on CL if you desire it. No more...

Only 179,000 miles? Should still be running like new right?
