I am getting ready to have my frame media blasted and painted for transplant. I am having a problem trying to decide on having it powder coated or doing it my self with a two part epoxy frame paint. My question is how did it leave the factory ? Does anybody know what kind of coating was used on the frame from factory ? Any help would be great! Or if anybody has had experience with a product that works well for this application. I am trying to get as close to factory spec as possible.


I'd guess OEM was an E-Coat. Tough to do at home. I'd go with epoxy paint. Powder coat? Do you have access to a very big oven?
