If 5.29s were available, I would be running 40s by now.

Hay all, thanx for all those replys. THem 40" tires Look SWEET... So 33" 12.5 would those work, My Sr has the stock 2" body lift.
And is it only a slight offroad enhancement, or is it rather noticeable from the 31"
Yes, I have done some offroading on the 31"s, seemed fine... the tires are just warn down, and seeing as Im putting new rubber on anyway, figured I would ask opinions on differences...

33's will definitely provide a significant benefit. 31's are the tire size of the 80's, and trails are set for much larger tires. You may have to mess with the inner fender behind the front bumper, bending back some metal, but that is easy.

My Sr has the stock 2" body lift. No such animal... Unless you mean the one most used by those that install a BL... IMHO, if your planning to stick to basic trails then you probably don't need 33's or greater sized tires, however if you plan on getting into doing some light to moderate rock crawling, the 33's are an inexpensive 1" 'lift'...

SR's have a stock 1" body lift over the LS model.
I ran 33x12.5 on the stock alloys with no problems.

Hey Johny, do you have any pics of the 33x12.5's on the stock rims?
Did you run at highway speeds with this setup? Thank you.

I probably do have pics somewhere. I'll look. I totally ran down a set of Toyo Open Country M/T's, so they were on there for a couple of years and I used to drive the truck for work all over AZ. It did great on the highway, no issues at all.
