Oh cool, thanks for the info. Did you have wheel spacers?

I'm buying tires in the next two weeks and I want to make a good choice. I was going to go with the 33x10.5, but maybe I'll reconsider for 33x12.5.

My understanding is that the thinner tires will actually have better traction because all things being equal they will conform over obstacles better than wider tires.

If you need/want the added floatation or protection then get the wider tires.

Just a thought to consider.

I have the 33 x 10.5 BFG KM2's on stock rims. Wish i had done this a long time ago in a far far way galaxy.

They were on sale at Sam's and bought five....They are not loud...Happy trails

My Sr has the stock 2" body lift.

No such animal... Unless you mean the one most used by those that install a BL...

IMHO, if your planning to stick to basic trails then you probably don't need 33's or greater sized tires, however if you plan on getting into doing some light to moderate rock crawling, the 33's are an inexpensive 1" 'lift' and sometimes aka more often than not an extra 1" is the difference between making it through the trail and not making it.

Hum... Now I need to go out and take a tape measure and see what the body lift is... seems more then an inch off the frame though... And yes, Light to moderate rock climbing in the near future, seems the roads I plan on taking in DV are about non existent at the moment...

So thanx all, time to get the tires ordered... are the BFG MT KM2's still the recommended tire? any opinions on the BFG TA KO's? web page

You mean A/T, rather than TA? I'd go with the A/T instead of the M/T unless you're going really hard core. Both are great tires but the A/T's will last longer.

What was said above about the 10.5's over the 12.5's makes a difference. The narrower tire will give a bit better gas mileage and the higher ground pressure on the narrower tread works well. I'd strongly consider them. Both will fit well on the stock wheels.
