We are not positive the gen2 idler solves the problem, or even that there is a problem. Richard may have had two bad p arm studs, or whacked two of them wheeling, or who knows what. I'd install the gen2 idler arm to correct a steering mismatch.

Both P arms were brand new Mitsubishi OE parts. I was wheeling when the last one tweaked enough where steering was chaotic and I had to fight to keep it straight.

Little late but, also make sure you check the center link. I've bent 3 in the last couple years. It makes everything weird to steer...
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...
