On Sept. 12 my best buddy, Loco Lobo KBHR 57 am, made his way over the doggie rainbow. The little yellow husky had just made it to his 16th birthday. Many of you had met him, many more knew of him. My Raider was modified with every invention I could think of to keep him comfortable on all our backcountry expeditions. He is painfully missed.

I weep with you, brother...
It's hard, but get another dog. It won't be the same, but it will be good none the less. One of the world's great tragedies is that our dog friends do no live as long as we do. The only sadder time is if the master dies before the dog...

Definitely feel your sorrow Dave. I agree with FE. Get another. It really does help and provides a good distraction (especially training it to behave the way you want).

Sorry to hear the news. I lost my Alaskan Malamute, Konny, in 2002 and it was not until 3 years ago that we got our beloved Schnauzer Gina.
It is hard but you got to love these little critters.

Sorry to hear you lost your backcountry exploration buddy. But I'm sure he had lots of great adventures with you in the backcountry.
I off-road a lot with Cameron our black Lab but he is getting older and does not handle the rough trails as well.
I built a platform on the back seat that has one of his beds on it which helps. Would love to hear about the inventions you created for your buddy.
