Axle gearing was same throughout the marque: 4.625 and 4.875 for the high altitude.

There are 4.22 geared auto trans three speeds too..And I have seen a 3.90 geared monty ..And yes the cal tag said 3.90..

And one more time ..Mitsu Car Co is not a real car company ...Its a tax write off ..As is Saab Jag Volvo ..Jeep and Subaru were a tax write off at one time too ... So you get vehicles that are made out of left over parts and said vehicles are not in the parts books ... When I was dealing with Mitsu Inc in the 90's with there Stage Rally program the parent company at the time was driving them into bankruptcy ..I saw a big lot of all green Mitsu cars and trucks ..There must of been a hundred cars and trucks all were the same color green ...The parent company was using up all the stale parts and paint colors before they sold Mitsu Car Co off to someone else ...

BoUnCy is the adjustable ride seat base that should be under the driver seat you have...being that you have the shiny trim, stainless drip rail cover, and broken off headlight washers. This truck should have rear LSD, too.

you are correct on it all but the seat isn't a bouncy.....that's because the driver seat was taken out and the passenger seat was installed in it's place.

Hopefully I'll soon see what those 4.22's behave like with the four speed KM-148 and the 2.4 EFI engine. I have a feeling I'll be switching them out.

Hi John

The three 4g64 swaps I've done .(My 4g64T DOHC and two custormer 4g64 NA ..) ...The 4g64 likes the higher RPM then the 2.6 steam shovel motor ...The deeper the gear the better ...My Rally truck has had the hell REVed out of the 2,4 and is still going.. Theres a four banger Monty up the hill here with 4.88's at Junkyard-X kids .. Rumor has it one of the 2.4 Montys I did is hiding up the hill here was T-boned and rolled ..And is up for sale and it has 4.88's too ..If anyone cares ...

4.88's would work well for this truck, being that it rides on 33's anyway. I have a F&R set of 4.625's sitting around, plus I had another idea. My turbo truck is sitting on tiny tires, think 60-series, so I could just swap axles from one truck to the other and that would benefit both. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to buy anything right now!
