Does anyone know if the trans ecu is compatible? Are the 2 transmissions interchangeable? I do know the top gear ratio is the same and basically the 5 speed gives you more middle ratios as compared to the 4 speed. However, it may be a better mate for the 3.0 than the 4 speed.
Just thinking out loud.

Non interchangeable ECU, you'd also need a body lift to clear the bigger transmission. Not sure if the different transfer cases bolt up

I was not expecting a body lift. Is there a lift n the Gen2 3.5 with the 5-speed over a Gen 2 3.0 with the 4-speed? I have never seen them side by side to compare.
I just moved to Texas and these rigs are pretty rare around here.
