It'a possible that the bearing is going. The best way to find out is with a mech stethoscope on the center bolt. IIRC, the Goodyear pulleys are around 15bucks each, plus a few pennies for washers. Also, iirc, both pulleys are the same. They lack the flange of the oem, but they center just fine. I ran them for years.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I found the 49075 idler pulley part, ordered and waiting for delivery. Price went up a bit it was $29, as its original application was 91-93 benz 500 series....thanks for the info will update when I install her.
Is there a chance the current screamin pulley may "freeze" on me causing all types of havoc while I wait the 3-4 days for the replacement to arrive ?

Getting the Wheeling Fever
While I await the arrival of my new pulley I have attempted to see if I can alleviate this screech for now, as I am nervous the sucker will freeze up on me. I removed both idler pulleys and tried to find any crevice, opening, anything. On the backside there seems to be an inner groove that may or may not lead inside. I sprayed some light lubricant inside then wiped the pulleys off well with a towel. I put them both back in their original locations, turned the key and....screeches. No change. Its aggravating. I will drive her limited, but I still need to drive to work tomorrow and Monday (30 miles total). Hope it holds...

Getting the Wheeling Fever
The new part came in today, part 49075 made by goodyear, a pulley to fix my squealing current pulley.

Problem: It doesn't fit, both the diameter that the bolt slides thru is too small (actual bolt has a 14mm head, not sure of diameter of shaft)and the diameter of the actual whole pulley is 4 mm smaller than the current pulley.

I ordered the part number 49075 by goodyear, like I mentioned in earlier post, its actual app is a 92 Mercedes, but this is off in two different measurements ? I need help ! This was hopefully going to be the last day I had to drive it squealing down the road but now I'm stuck with a part that doesn't fit. I did go back to the original article fasteddy and verified that indeed, it was that part number from goodyear to order. Can you help ? Again it the pulley just below the alternator and 11am according to the fan. Both that pulley and the one below it, offset the PS pump, it will not fit on.......

If I remember correctly, the part number is 49075, but research it.
