Note, the pro method of repair is to drill two holes on each side of the break and solder in a wire jumper, but yours worked. Re the tach, download the fsm from mitsubishilinks.com and trace the wiring from the coil pack, paying attention to the LC filter in the circuit. Not responsible for advice not taken...
