He is choosing sell the 4d56t and rubuild the 4d55 for a reason. My guess is the engine has blowby. I rebuilt a 4d55 in 2005 and added a new 4d56 head and water cooled turbo. After looking all the receipts it cost me $7800 and that did not include the purchase price or the 100 hours of labor and my time is worth something.

As for the Raider the price seems quite high. I think they are hanging their hat on it has low miles, but in the end it is a 25 year old vehicle. I have see nice 2001 Gen III Montero's going for that price.
