Diesel will not bolt up to the transmission. You will need a bellhousing from a 4 cyl auto. Not sure if the 4 cyl motor mounts align to the V6 frame.

Diesel will not bolt up to the transmission. You will need a bellhousing from a 4 cyl auto. Not sure if the 4 cyl motor mounts align to the V6 frame. So then I guess a 2 door version is the way to go with a diesel conversion.

If you want to swap a V6 out for a diesel use a 4M40 and the trans that mates to it, that 4 cylinder mounts in the V6 location.

All the diesels in Montero's are 4 cylinder but the later diesels sit in the V6 location.
Sorry if i'm confusing you.

That seams quite expensive. Do you think $2000 would be a good price. Definitely been repainted. Looks like it has a dent in the right rear fender. It has a clean car fax with correct mileage and no accidents.
