I carry a full size 1911 pretty often, and the side bolster on the seats tend to jab the gun into my side. Getting tired of worrying about it sliding around or bouncing around while I explore trails, I took my spare Blackhawk molded outside the waistband holster and attached it with the 3 screws to my dash. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
I loved that holster but you can't conceal it without a coat, I am glad I found a real use for it, and it latches to the trigger gaurd so it won't just bounce out if I get a bit too bouncy offroad. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
