thanks guys. i did alot of work on 80 series land cruiser and I'm pretty sure i can do this but im recovering from surgery and cant do anything for few weeks. plus i just got a promotion at work and am working 50 hours a week. what are the advantages of going with gen 2 brakes are they a bigger brake? i'm pretty sure my mechanic would be willing to put the gen 2 stuff on if it no really big deal

Gen II upgrade gets you larger rotors and 4-piston calipers.

They can be ordered. Let us know if you need the part numbers. Rock Auto is your friend, too. They make it easy.

the stuck plug came out!!! they replaced pretty much everything during the tune up and put on new calipers (gen 1 as i didn't want to pay there labor to put gen 2) and rotors. next up is the valve cover gaskets but i got to pay off this mess first...and then there is the suspension and the tires but it will all happen in time.
