Score! you're going to like that motor in that truck, when we took PA_JERO's 2 door out after the 3.5 DOHC swap it just makes you laugh when you stomp on the gas. It's silly fast, we passed a sports car going up a steep grade up in the mountains and the look on that guy's face when we blasted past him was priceless.

No score! I wish that engine was going into the swb. It went back into the 95 sr that i picked up for $400.

Just a quick picture update with a few Qs:

Too tall for these 285/75/r16? I could still drop another 2 inches from the body lift currently on there but that might give me some clearance issues with the jeep xj steering gearbox i adapted but not the end of the world.

The main reason im doing all this is because it was a PITA to change the oil pan gasket before hahahaha .... It would now be a 20 minute job!
[Linked Image]

Swapped the crappy km145 for an early gen2 4speed auto along with an np231.... Not the best case in the world but 2.72:1 is still a bit better.

BEEF!

Woot woot! New bushings from summit racing.

Anyone know which junkyard steering pump i can use to go along with my xj box? It would have to be one with the same belt style.

Gonna do flex testing soon to measure for front driveshaft slip, shock length and brake hoses lengths.

Still lots of work to do. Im sure my stock brake booster master cyl combo wont be enough for these dana 44 brakes so ill handle that later. Anyone know solutions to that? Would be greatly appreciated.

Im open and would really appreciate any constructive criticism!

Cant wait to wheel this baby witht he new tcase gearing and both diff locks engaged!

Body Damage is Cool
there was some peeps from the AZ crew that talked about a dodge brake booster that bolts up and give you the braking force for the d44.

Hey guys!! Long time since i last posted.... Ive been away from the truck and into my new found hobby of downhill mountain biking.... But anyways, im now pressured to finish this project up. Ive tested it around the block and surprisingly it doesnt feel much diferent than before the SAS i still need a few things like:
Front sway bar for hyway use
Front driveshaft
Weld front bumpstops
Adjust trans kickdown cable (but it shifts!)
O/D wiring
Np231 cable shifter
And a few other small things i might have missed, but what i need help on right now is the steering..... I still have the stock p/s pump along with a jeep cherokee steering box and its like i have no steering assist at all. Now im doing this the cheap way since the beginning. Im assuming i need a bigger pump... So what to fit under the hood? Can i just grap a big pump from an old chevy truck? Will that give me more steering assist power? Any input is appreciated... I will post pics soon. Thanks in advance!

The jump 'psi' is there ..

Its how the pump applies said psi is the problem ..Dick with the spring at the orifice ..You may have to play with the orifice size too...
