iirc, there are 2 clips on the carpet in the forward section that's under the rear seat. In my red one they were broken off and I bought 2 new ones at the dealer.

I thought that also, but there is no clips and it shows no sign of there being any hole where the clips may have been.
I posted it was a Gen 1, but it's a 89 two door Raider. Maybe there is some difference between them, but I would not think so.

Yes, that is a GEN I, it goes right there. Undo the buttons and pull the carpet and you will see the holes. I find it to be a bad spot because your passengers, if any, will step right on the clips or the handle and they will brake off.

Happened to me. My fix was, do you know those nylon bags for foldable chairs? Well I got one of those, very strong let me say, and in there I keep my tow strap, my hatchet, a miniature shovel and the jack handle.

I may have the clips if you don't. I'll check tomorrow afternoon (-ish) and send them (in awhile, you guys know me) on if I have them. Alternately, I have some spring steel clips that are from a LUV truck (I think) that would work for you too.

Iirc on mine the clips were steel. The plastic pieces were just inserts used to mount the metal clips to.

Somewhere I thought I saw a picture of a Gen I, 2 door with the jack handle (or something like a jack handle) attached at the very bottom of the rear bench seat.

Oh yeah, and there too. The late 87 Raider I parted had that. All the others were in the rear footwell.

Thanks for the offer Russell, but I have clips from the Montero's. Neither of the Raiders had them, go figure.

I will install the clips on the rear of the back seat.
