Motero, you didn't do the deal with mxmikie? I "think" Canyonero has the set-up, too, and he has said he'll help out, along with Pa_Jero, to do a final attack on the '95 to get the timing belt and associated stuff as well as the valve stem seals, etc done over some random weekend. I'll let you know if they are missing anything we may need to borrow. And, thanks for the offer.

Toasty, I have to get with you to obtain that downpipe for the '86. When's a good time for me to cruise over?

Thanks, Toast.

Missing copper washers! That's why the banjo fittings are spewing. There should be a copper washer on both sides of the fitting, and there's only washers on one side of each. Of course, the ones at the AutoZone aren't quite big enough (of course), so I'm off to True Value to see if they have the right size. Like Stephan on SNL says: "They have everything!"

And we have fuel pressure. Pump shuts off, then turns back on to recirculate through the return after the regulator lets some back to the tank.

Ready for next steps.

Tried to start it. Didn't fire off. Got another fuel leak, this time at the return line up front (WTF?). Had one guy turn the key, another hold the jumper wire on the battery while I held the jumper on the pump. Nothin.

No, Lordtrunks hasn't wired the pump up through the ignition yet. We have been jumping the pump to narrow down the fuel leaks, and I can visually and audibly verify it works just fine.

I went over to Toasty's house and picked up the exhaust section he had laying around. It's the 2 into 1 pipe that bolts on right after the manifold on the '86 and should make for a great exhaust setup performance-wise, as it is basically a factory long tube header in combination with the manifold. He also had the steering column plastic, which I was missing.

This was the first time I had the '95 on the freeway for any distance in over a year. It liked that. It had been setting a check engine light, and the light finally went out and stayed out after just a couple of miles and for the rest of the day. Because it's OBD-1, I hadn't bothered to check what it was. I did replace the crankcase breather hose-to-air-cleaner line the other day, as it was split and allowing unmetered air in the intake after the MAF, so I hope that was the issue.

Took the rest of the day off and watched football. Cardinals win!

I've got that MUT-2 Scanner now, we can scan your rig if the light comes back on.
