Thanks, David...17mm center bolt hole, 60mm in the groove, although that is less important. I would still have to figure out how to wire it. I have a two-wire plug in the Montero harness, splicing down from three leading up to it off the truck's wiring (stock, I guess), but a four wire plug and harness coming off the "new" alternator.

Alt came off a '99 Galant. Wires are, yellow w/ black stripe, white w/ black stripe, red w/ grey stripe and a solid black.

The Montero only has two wires all the way; I thought there were three, but the other one was an oil pressure sender hook-up bundled with it. For the alt., there's a white and a blue.

TP crank? Not sure I follow you there; what's that?

The vehicle does not have cruise control.

Thanks for your help, David.

Thanks, Rocks. I'll be all set up in no time. I've been super busy working on my neighbor's VW bus, which is kinda fun. Kinda. If you guys know what a steering center link pin is...I put in a new one to tighten up the steering, which involves removing old bushings, pressing in new ones, then reaming them and reassembling the assemblage. I also really fixed up his shift linkage and reconnected his heater tubes (air heat exchangers), adjusted the steering box, ran it through emissions, checked into the wipers not working and the fresh air overhead vent flap/seal (completely gone) and ordered a bunch of parts for the next round. It is missing all the seals between the foot pedal controls and the floor board, needs to have the heater cables reconnected as well as the wiper linkage to be reconnected and that airbox thing to be reassembled with new and used parts. Then he'll at least be able to drive it when it's either cold or rainy instead of just sunny and warm.

The transmission cooler RX is talking about above is for the '86. I asked him to pull one for me because The Crew swapped in the KM-148 auto and previously it had the TF 3-speed which only utilized the radiator section cooler and I didn't want to mess with the aftermarket cheap-o I had and instead opted to source the Mitsu cooler since it bolts right up and will be effective enough. Dan/Mongo on here, has some small parts for the '95 for me, so they'll ship together now.

Just need to get the alt wiring and pulley in place (it sits below the power steering pump and upper radiator hose, so it needs to be the next thing to go in and I can put the other stuff on afterwards.

Going to run the '95 out on a west-side run with my friend Sunday. Hope my heater decides to work since I didn't spend any time looking at why the temp dial doesn't do much of anything these days and I don't get heat out of the ducts. That thing also seems to want to idle low after it warms up too. Hmmmm...

Got offered a job from another neighbor. He owns (long time) an appliance repair business and needs a central Phoenix guy. After training, I'd have my own truck, make service calls (he says they don't go to sh!t houses, more like Biltmore, Suns players, high-end clients). He needed someone who knows customer service, has a clean driving record, likes fixing things, can pass a background check and a drug test. Hey, that's me. He says his guys have been with him a long time, too, because they make good money. And for once, I won't be burning up my own vehicles, as I had been doing for the past ten years. Anyway, I go over to his shop on Monday (1 mile away from home) and ride along with one of his guys starting Tuesday. Something different and probably fun. I used to go into people's homes all the time when I estimated floor covering and it was the best part of the job.

Man, I'd like to get the '86 done (and maybe sold) so I can finish up the '87 Type R turbo. It's so close...

See you gents on Saturday for Crown King (some of you, anyway). Yee Haw.

I cut the spot-welded mount for the right side of the cooler out and you can attach as needs dictate. The left side of the cooler mounts to the AC cooling fan support. I sent the best of three coolers for visual appearance and condition.
