Your work truly is amazing. I blew up my KM145, and this is before the turbo. I went through all hell trying to find a used one. All were shot. I had to save up 750 to by a Kormex... I would have much rather sent that to you.

If you ever plan on making more to sell... count me in. I don't need it, but want it. I, like you, want to run a dsm motor, and it will be a matter of a few short years before it blows again, and finding a replacement tranny now was hard, add 5 years.

Thank you! it has been a very cool project for sure. My 4G64 awaits its mate, at this time it will go behind the starion 2.6 first. She still pulls hard and want to test the new set up. I know it will be a great upgrade from what I have now for sure. When I fell its time (which wont be long) I will let you all of you know my input.

what are you planning? A 4g64 wideblock with a dsm 4g63 dohc head and turbo? Any fun mods like a 16g turbo and dsm link?

88 Montero, StarQuest turbo, Kormex 5speed +tuff-pan w/phoenix f. stage2 clutch, 4in lift+33' tires, 4.875 lsd, short-throw shifter, Aisin hubs, SR big brakes, gen2 uca's, elantra alt, and so much more... 16g turbo w/hardpipes + 4.90 locking disk-brake axle soon (maybe lsd or aussie front??)

I'll be following and reading in prep for my long down the road dsm swap. Don't want to make the same mistakes as with the starion swap.

To bad your cross country, I'd love to see this thing.

That is some nice work. Any reason why not going with the Atlas 2 with all the work put forth? (besides money)

Thank you!! That has come across the table, and yes they are expensive but well worth every penny. I may upgrade to bigger tires and solid axle this summer if so that would be a bad set up! Tax refund time is here again so we shall see

Oh, so this isn't just swapping the jeep trans... The mitsu transfer case also goes?

Too soon to ask? but how does it line up regarding bolting in and getting drive shafts to work? Very curious.

Jeep trans and 242 AWD tcase is going in. After checking the length and overall shifter position's the trans and tcase will fit up well, the shafts are from the jeep. My good friend has a driveline shop so I will have them cut and made to adapt to the axles I have now. Sounds like a lot but not really. I love a challange anyway.

Any progress on this? If I could do this swap for the price of a KM145 rebuild, I would.
