Might be tough to do it for 750... aka rebuild price. You need custom drive shafts. Thats a few bucks right there. Just saying.

But i also agree. Whats the news. Driving around with it yet?

88 Montero, StarQuest turbo, Kormex 5speed +tuff-pan w/phoenix f. stage2 clutch, 4in lift+33' tires, 4.875 lsd, short-throw shifter, Aisin hubs, SR big brakes, gen2 uca's, elantra alt, and so much more... 16g turbo w/hardpipes + 4.90 locking disk-brake axle soon (maybe lsd or aussie front??)

Any progress on this? If I could do this swap for the price of a KM145 rebuild, I would.

Hi Guys thanks for asking, the trans is done and ready to go in at this point.
I have decided to go with the waggy front axle as well (SAS Jeep just makes sense) So that is in the works now. I have the axle and im figuring out my front coil setup. I will only need to make a custom rear drive line ( may go Sr rear disk too later) The front will just need to be shortened from what I measure. I will not know for sure tell its all together. My work will be slowing down so I will have more time to get it all done.
Honestly from having the Km145 next to the jeep/toyota trans I wouldnt use one. This 5 speed is built way better all around and has a larger input bearing. Plus its the same as the toyota G54

Found a good link on some trasfer case info. I figured this would be a good place to put it

So for all that want an update, I am a few weeks away for the install of this trans. I ordered a new aftermarket trans mount and need an rear drive line part thanks to Tony (Tonygon) here on the wire doing some foot work.
Can't wait!

I'm excited to see this work, is there a CAD drawing available for the adapter? I may have asked this already.

On a side note you have inspired me to Mix up the Mitsu and Toyota auto transmissions. With lordtrunks' help i think we've figured out how i can run the Toyota gear driven transfer cases and under drive boxes.

Thanks Toasty! We are working on a cad drawing as we speak.
Sounds interesting on the combo your thinking of doing. Can't wait to get this finely done!!

Thank's to Tony (Tonygon) Great jeep to mitsu flange adaper Idea! I found this bad boy. You will need to drill holes in your stock mitsu rear dif flange but it will be a bolt on after.

That's looks like a pretty rough grind to me. Hope the machinist doesn't do heads that way.
