Looks like a cable driven speedo so it must be '88 to '91 and I assume it is a 21 spline input to match to the AX5? I can ask but im pretty positive that's the year it came from. I do have the AX5 tranny in my Montero and fits really nice. I went with a Np 231 for now because you have to run both front and rear drive shafts with the NP242. I built a custom cross member using the outer sections of the stock unit. the transfer case is hanging off the back of 5 speed with no support(Factory). So I made a bullet proof one <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> The center rubber mount isn't bolted up yet because I need to pull it back down and give er a paint job.
